Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 lemon (juiced)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thinly slice the oranges.
  2. Place the sliced oranges in a pot with water and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour until the peels soften.
  4. Add sugar and lemon juice, stirring until dissolved.
  5. Cook on medium heat for another 30-40 minutes until thickened.
  6. Test the consistency by placing a small amount on a cold plate.
  7. Pour the marmalade into sterilized jars and seal.
