  • 1 white onion, quartered
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 23 serrano peppers
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add tomatoes, onion, garlic, and peppers. Roast until charred, about 8 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a blender. Add cilantro, salt, and water.
  4. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed.
