A tangy and refreshing salsa made with fresh cranberries, perfect for pairing with chips or as a topping for meats.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and drain well.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until cranberries pop (about 10 minutes).
  3. Let the mixture cool completely.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and mix in jalapeno, cilantro, red onion, lime juice, and salt.
  5. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
  • For a milder salsa, remove jalapeno seeds.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
