Crispy French toast sticks coated in cinnamon sugar, made easily in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of thick bread (brioche or Texas toast)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Cut each bread slice into 4 sticks.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
  3. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, coating evenly.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, then cook another 3-4 minutes until golden.
  7. Mix sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  8. Brush cooked sticks with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  9. Serve warm with syrup or yogurt.

Notes

  • Use stale bread for better texture.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
  • For extra crispiness, spritz sticks lightly with oil before air frying.
